Release Versions: 5.91, 5.92, 5.93, 5.94, 5.95, 5.96
In our latest releases, we have implemented a range of improvements across TechlifyHR. This post aims to summarize the features we have released to improve efficiency and overall system performance.
Second Job Allowance
We’ve introduced support for the Second Job Allowance. This feature enables employees with a second job to claim tax-free earnings up to $50,000 monthly or $600,000 annually. To enable the Second Job Allowance for an employee, go to the Salary Form and locate the Salary Options dropdown field. Select Second Job from the list and save the form.

Semi-Monthly Pay
We’ve introduced a new Semi-Monthly pay frequency designed for companies that pay employees twice a month. You can select this option directly on the Salary Form under the payment frequency section and filter your reports by semi-monthly pay periods.

Timesheet Summary Report: Track Wages & Filter by Tag
We’ve rolled out new updates to the Timesheet Summary Report to better connect your teams’ logged hours with labor costs. You can now use a Column Selector, view the wages paid section and filter data instantly using custom tags. These additions make it easier to pull exact financial insights you may need.

Overtime & Timesheet Form Secondary Overtime Field
We’ve updated the overtime and timesheet forms to include a second overtime field, letting you record secondary overtime alongside standard overtime in a single submission without creating separate records. Secondary overtime data is also visible on both the overtime and timesheet list page for easy review.
Note: To enable the second overtime field on the timesheet form, click the gear icon in the top-right corner to open the configuration page.

KPI Tagging
KPIs now support tagging, allowing you to add custom tags when assigning KPIs to your employees. Assigned tags are displayed within the Goal column on the KPI list page for quick reference.

Other Improvements
- New Payslip & Paysheet Columns: Overtime Breakdown w/Rate and Overtime Breakdown by tags on Payslips and a Branch Column is added to the paysheet.
- Recalculate Button on Paysheet: On an unapproved paysheet, we’ve added a recalculate button next to every employee’s name. Now you do not have to go to the payroll page to recalculate an employee, you can do so directly on the paysheet.
- Timesheet Import Improvements: The latest timesheet release adds 0.5x overtime tracking with particulars, renames “Absent” to “Is Absent,” and includes a linkable “Absent Hours” field. Additionally, bonuses are now split into Taxable and Non-taxable columns, with a dedicated Bonus Particulars field.
- Timesheet List Improvements: Timesheet records now feature “Holiday” and ‘Non-Working Day” tags, which give reviewers context on non-working days without referencing a calendar. Additionally, the Timesheet record list now displays the applied overtime rate instead of the standard rate in the OT Column.
- Leave Policy Improvements: We have introduced several improvements to Leave Policies, including the highly requested ability to backdate policies. Additionally, effective start dates are no longer required on the leave policy form. Managing unassigned policies is now more flexible, as you can now edit leaves within a policy if no employees are assigned to it. Finally, for better tracking, audit logs are now available in the leave list and employee sections, and saving a policy will automatically direct you to its view page for a smoother review experience.
